Sea Jerky
Sea Jerky is a nutritional supplement containing a unique source of chondroitin - Sea Chondroitin. This patented product from the sea cucumber is the active component in Sea Jerky which supports flexibility and mobility in dogs. Chondroitin builds and maintains the structural framework of joints to cushion and support movement.
Sea Jerky is a palatable canine treat which also contains Glucosamine HCI. Scientific studies indicate that glucosamine promotes production of proteoglycans, supports lubrication and supports sulfate uptake in cartilage. As a chondroprotective agent, glucosamine nourishes joints for comfortable movement.

Sea Cucumber facts
Sea cucumbers belong to a group of echinoderms called holothurians. They are sluggish, tube-shaped bottom dwelling animals that are found world wide. The most common species found in the North Atlantic, and the one used in all of NutriSea's sea cucumber products, is the Cucumaria frondosa.
C. frondosa is a cold water invertebrate found along the Atlantic coast from Greenland to the northern shore of Cape Cod. It is most common in depths of less than 100 ft. of water and it prefers to cling to hard surfaces. C. frondosa does look much like a cucumber with a long cylindrical body with greenish to brownish, leathery skin and five rows of tube feet which are used for locomotion. The body is extremely flexible and can be tightened into a ball when stressed and then loosened into a long tube when relaxed.
Other species of sea cucumbers have been used for centuries in China and many Asian countries. They are eaten in soups, raw as sushi and as delicacies. They are known in China as "Ginseng of the Sea."

How much to give?
It is suggested that you give your dog one stick per day for every 50-60 pounds of bodyweight. After three weeks, slowly reduce the dosage to arrive at an optimal maintenance level that sustains the increased mobility. (They easily break into smaller pieces.
