- Second Hand Pets - Second Hand Pets is a small rescue run out of our home. We place animals left in our care in new and loving homes. These are the pets that others feel compelled to toss out like yesterdays trash. We like to refer to them as Second Hand Pets. We currently have no foster homes only ours and don't have a facility. Each animal that comes to us is loved and nurtured until it finds it's special place in it's new families heart and home. Since our county (Boone County in Indiana) has no shelter we help out any animal in need to avoid it being euthanized or dumped on the back country roads. We will try to spay/neuter when able and get each pet a visit to the vet along with any necessary shots.

We are a 501(c)3, organization of volunteers only, that work together in a combined effort to save Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes from being euthanized (either by injections or a gas box in animal shelters & animal controls.)
