 Acton - Animal Umbrella - Founded in 1985 and was the first to introduce trap/spay and release of feral cat colonies in Massachusetts. They are a non-profit, volunteer NO-KILL organization dedicated to the rescue, care and adoption of abandoned cats and kittens. They absolutely believe in rehabilitation not destruction, and make a special effort to find special homes for the "highly unadoptable" animals due to handicap, injury, age, feral status (after being socialized in our shelter or foster home network) FIV or FELV positive.

We work with mostly cats and small dogs. We are looking for great, permanent homes.

They do not receive any federal, state, county or city money.
