• ASSA National Sheltie Rescue Network - Provides contacts nationwide for the surrender and adoption of purebred Shetland Sheepdogs.
  
• Adopt A Pet - Founded in 1996, this group of dedicated volunteers helps match up displaced animals with loving homes. Find animal shelters, assistance for animal shelters and groups, chat forums, animal health and safety tips, more.
  
• Adopt Homeless Paws - A nationwide network for the adoption of homeless pets. Based in Massachusetts.
  
• American Black & Tan Coonhound Rescue (Located in Atlanta, GA). We rescue Black and Tan Coonhounds nationwide - primarily from shelters or from people who find strays. All dogs are in foster homes and are temperament tested, altered, UTD on vaccines, etc. Sometimes other types of coonhounds and bloodhounds, too.
  
• Basenji Rescue & Transport, Inc. - Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home dogs of the basenji breed. BRAT is an all-volunteer organization and has been recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt charitable corporation since its founding in 1999. BRAT rescues basenjis from shelters, abusive situations and relinquishing owners.
  
• The Oasis - A life-care facility for captive Exotic birds. In particular we are a refuge for parrots, cockatoos, macaws and other Psittacine birds. As a true sanctuary, we do not offer birds for adoption, however we work with and refer birds requiring re-homing to bona fide adoption programs around the country.

• Domestic Skunk Rescue and Education - Skunk Rescue/Shelter. Teaching people proper skunk care, 24 hr skunk help, nationwide.
  
• Eskie Rescuers United - An all-volunteer nationwide American Eskimo dog rescue organization with foster homes in many states throughout the country, and we're always adding more. We rescue neglected, stray & unwanted eskies.
  
• Hurricane Pets Rescue, Inc. - We are an all breed, nationwide no-kill, non-profit rescue. We offer shelter and care for homeless disaster relief animals, though a network of rescue and foster homes.
  
• Iowa Parrot Rescue - Located in Eastern Iowa on the Mississippi River, but they have connections to rescuers and adoption facilities all over the country. If you have a bird that needs a home, and can't find a good one, contact them. Visit their site to see many beautiful birds!
  
• Mid-Atlantic Bengal Rescue Network - A national network organization of volunteers.
  
• MuttCats Shelter Directory - Extensive and up-to-date animal rescue and pet shelter directory organized by state.
  
• National Airedale Rescue, Inc. - The ATCA Rescue & Adoption Committee maintains and updates a network of contacts across the country to aid in the re-homing of purebred Airedale Terriers who are lost or abandoned. These contacts are volunteers located in several states, as well as Canada, working to help Airedales in need, adopting them to permanent loving homes.
  
• National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue - A 501(c)3 organization dedicated to saving Anatolian Shepherd dogs and their mixes.
  
• Newfoundland Club of America Rescue Network - Dedicated to protecting the Newfoundland dog, NCA Rescue is a network of dedicated volunteers who provide care and placement assistance for Newfoundlands in need.
