BioBag Dog waste bags

BioBag Dog holds the distinction of being the first biodegradable and compostable "plastic" pooper bag in the world.
BioBag is the world's largest brand of 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable bags and films made from the material, Mater-Bi. BioBag Dog waste bags are
based on GMO free starch, vegetable oil and other renewable resources. No polyethylene is used in the production process.

We also offer BioBag Kitchen Bags.

Facts about Plastic Bags

Regular polyethylene-based plastic bags can take well over 100 years to degrade and are not compostable. Less than 2% of
all plastic bags ever get recycled. Plastic bags litter our streets, backwoods and waterways. Studies indicate that 100,000 marine animals
and 2 million birds die each year from ingesting or being caught up in plastic debris. Some manufacturers are blending additives to
polyethylene to product "degradable" bags. Unfortunately, this process fragments the bags into pieces of plastic debris that do not meet the
ASTM D6400-99 standard for biodegradable and compostable plastic. This means they will biodegrade but the relatively harmless pieces will
still take up landfill space. If this is a concern to you, then we recommend BioBag.

Disposal Options:
- The BioBag and dog waste can be thrown in your backyard compost, where both items can decompose naturally;

- The BioBag and dog waste can be buried, where micro-organisms will quickly eat both;

- The BioBag and dog waste can be set at curbside with other yard waste where communities collect biodegradable waste for composting. San Francisco,
for example, has approved the disposal of dog waste collected in BioBags for placement in their green food waste curbside containers. Please check with your
community for disposal options.
