- C.A.R.E. - Connecticut Avian Resource & Education - C.A.R.E. is a network of experienced, parrot loving volunteers from CT and the Northeast who have come together to help place parrots with permanent
families. CARE offers foster care for all parrots in need of placement. CARE completes comprehensive screening and home studies of all applicants. If you are interested in placing, adopting or volunteering please visit our website.

dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of unwanted, abused or abandoned exotic birds. Our main 'thrust' is education. We adopt to qualified applicants.

- Last Post Cat Refuge - The Last Post is a large private animal sanctuary, situated on 35 acres
in rural CT. The sanctuary is home to more than 200 cats along with a variety of other domestic animals.
The Lats Post's primary purpose is to provide a safe home-like surrounding for animals whose previous
guardians have died or entered nursing homes. Animals are left to the Last Post in wills, or special
arrangements are made by people no longer able to care for their friends. Most of the animals are up for
adoption, unless previous guardians stipulate otherwise. All animals who are not adopted live out their
