Louisiana, we house, adopt, rehab and educate with the animals that we take in. We are a no-kill shelter and have from cochroaches to kangaroos.

- Brown Bar Motel - Brown Bar Motel is the rescue division of the Academy.
We take animals in need of a safe haven--we do have some requirements before accepting the animals. Contact Cynthia for complete information. We are a small rescue.
At present, we place animals in the NE LA only. We accept all animals based on the room we have available. Special Needs animals live here forever.

provide shelter for homeless, abused or abandoned dogs and cats and to promote the sterilization of all animals in order to reduce pet overpopulation. We have resuced
over 800 dogs and cats to date.

build a shelter. We have weekly adoption days at our local pet store and also list our animals on petfinder.com.
